Aeren - Aeren got his start in music at the age of 10, when he

picked up a pair
of drumsticks
and a practice pad.
Not soon after
that,
he was constantly
crafting beats on
his
father's 6 piece
drumset. He traded
in the drums a few
years later for a
guitar. Ever since
then, he was
interested in
learning more
instruments and
happened upon a
keyboard. He fell in
love...
Being heavily
influenced by the
underground
alternative music
he decided that was
what he would like
to pursue. He was
in and out of
bands and
decided to take
a hiatus until he
met Jessie.

Jessie was a vocalist from the time she was born. At the age of 8, Jessie
had
vocal lessons that lasted until she was 15. During
this time, she also had
piano, drum, bass, and woodwind lessons.
Jessie went
on tour throughout California
and Arizona with the
family band
at 16. Then
at 21,
she decided
to move
to Breckenridge,
Colorado
and pursue
a sound engineering career. She went on tour with many local acts and was also lead sound engineer for
a club in Frisco, CO.
The
mountains were not enough for Jessie so she decided to move to Denver and attend
Lamont
School of Music.
There she studied
for a degree
in recording. Meanwhile
she worked
for the Fillmore and was a member of the sound crew for numerous
big name artists...

Requiem in Black exploded onto Requiem in Black has played Vendetta Festival and supported Nitzer Ebb, Requiem in Black’s second CD "Revolution Nation" is available and was released August 4, 2008. It is available through:
the electronic scene in 2006. Hailing from Denver, CO Requiem in Black’s driving dance beats and sensual vocals merge to create music unlike anything that is currently being produced.

Requiem in Black has been the first project for both Aeren and Jessie where they get to play exactly what each is most inspired by...and passionate about...the underground electronic genre. Jessie writes all the lyrics for their songs and both compose the music. Requiem in Black believes in true musicianship...which gives a heart and soul feel to their sound. Inspired by such musicians as Gary Numan and VNV Nation they combine the beats and synths into music that is unique...unlike anything else being produced.
